Em space
Space as wide as the point size of the types. This measurement
is relative; in 12-point type an em space is 12 points wide, but
in 24-point type an em space is 24 points wide. |

Emboss
Adding a dimensional effect to the image or graphic design. It
gives a feel of the image projecting out of the printed space. |

A space half as wide as the type is high (half an em

EPS (Encapsulated
PostScript)
A PostScript graphic file format that includes comments
giving information such as bounding boxes, page numbers and fonts

Error 404
Error message that appears when a web page is not found on a server. |

Ethernet
A type of local area network (see LAN).

Expanded (font)
Font in which the set widths of the characters are wider
than in the standard typeface. (Note: not the intercharacter space
-that is accomplished through -letterspacing- but the characters

Process of saving files in a format that can be opened in other
programs. These formats are usually not the native format of the
program you are exporting from. |

Extended type
Typefaces that are wide horizontally -Hellenic, Latin
Wide, Egyptian Expanded, Microgramma Extended, etc. |

E-Zine or Ezine
Stands for electronic magazine and is a name for a web site which
is either (a) modeled after a print magazine or (b) a magazine
that is only available online or through email. |
